One of my most popular designs – Cabled Fingerless Gloves – is available now as a detailed tutorial and knitting pattern.

This is a small project, quick to make, and requires only one ball of yarn. The pattern contains round-by-round instructions to make short or long gloves. It has been tested, proofread and technically edited. The instructions are clear and very detailed. There’s maybe too much detail for experienced knitters.

Like Mother Like Daughter

These gloves were commissioned through my Etsy store for a five-year old girl who loved her Mom’s gloves.

It was the first time I designed gloves for a child, and it was like flying in the dark. I had only the measurements that the buyer sent me, and no one to try them on.

It worked fine.

Medieval Princess

These gloves were commissioned for my Etsy store.

The buyer asked for extra long lacy gloves. So she’ll look like a “‘medieval princess”. I’m happy with the result and I’m making some more. There is more than one medieval princess, you know?

It’s been a great decade, no regrets, lots of fun. And the winter? That’s the only part I don’t like, but the rest more than makes up for it.

Although not a knitting blog, one of the funniest and best written blogs I read is Creampuff Revolution. She’s also a knitter, and occasionally she posts in her blog photos of her finished objects. Among them, to my surprise, was her own version of the my Braided Ivy fingerless gloves.

I’ve been reading her blog (and her spouse’s blog) for years, and I was so happy to see that my work inspired her to make her own gloves. Cheers!

Free-motion quilting
